Cascade Dental continues to provide preferred provider services to all WDS and ODS covered patients. Recently Washington Dental Service decided to reduce its reimbursements to dentists, but even in the face of these reductions, Cascade Dental chose to continue to provide preferred provider services. A number of dentists in the Vancouver, Washington area chose to terminate their contracts with WDS. Cascade Dental chose to stay with WDS and by extension ODS.

If your teeth don't look as straight and perfect as you'd like, you can visit your general or cosmetic dentist and get started on the path to beautiful teeth. There are many options for getting the smile you always wanted, and Invisalign is one of the best choices you have. Here are some of the benefits of choosing Invisalign:
- Convenience
Invisalign is a very convenient way to straighten your teeth. You simply pop the trays in and leave them until you need to brush your teeth, eat, or switch to a new tray. You don’t have to worry about braces, wires, or all the problems associated with traditional orthodontics.
- Easy Care
Both your teeth and your trays will benefit from the easy care that comes with Invisalign braces. You can brush and floss your teeth like normal, and you won't have to worry with extra care like you would with traditional braces. Your trays are easy to care for too—simply brush them, or ask your dentist for tips.
- Discretion
No one will know you are wearing Invisalign braces because no one will see them. Unlike traditional braces, your trays are clear, so they are virtually invisible. You can live your life with confidence as the trays work to give you straighter, better-aligned teeth.
- No Food Restrictions
You can eat what you want with Invisalign trays. With traditional braces, your food choices will be limited, which can be frustrating and bothersome. With Invisalign, just remove your trays, eat whatever you want, and put your trays back in—there's no reason to miss out on your favorite things just because you want straighter teeth.
- Fewer Appointments
You won't need to see your orthodontist or general dentistry provider as much with Invisalign. Your appointments may be four to six weeks apart. You'll be able to spend more time doing what you want, instead of in the dentist's chair.
Come to Cascade Dental in Vancouver for all of your general and cosmetic dental needs. For an appointment, call (360) 213-1999 and get ready to have straighter, more beautiful teeth.

In dentistry, one condition that is unfortunately common is periodontal disease, or periodontitis. In its earliest stages, periodontal disease is easy to control and reverse with the help of your general dentist. Once the disease progresses in severity, however, treatment is more difficult. It is important to understand the stages of periodontal disease so that you can recognize the symptoms and seek treatment as soon as possible. Periodontal disease consists of three main stages:
- Gingivitis
In this stage of periodontal disease, your gums may become red, swollen, tender, and prone to easy bleeding. Bad breath may also be present. During this stage, it is possible to reverse the condition with a stringent oral hygiene regimen, both at home and with your general dentistry provider.
- Mild Periodontitis
When periodontal disease progresses into mild periodontitis, the symptoms of gingivitis may increase in severity and pockets will begin to form between the teeth and the gums. The gums may recede and bone loss may begin. Once you reach this stage, the condition cannot be reversed, but treatment at this stage is possible, but may be uncomfortable. Nevertheless, it is important to seek appropriate treatment from your general dentistry provider before the disease progresses further.
- Advanced Periodontitis
Advanced periodontitis is the most severe stage of periodontal disease and is the most common cause of tooth loss in adults. The symptoms of the first two stages continue and increase in severity, leaving little or no support structure for the tooth. Necrotizing versions of the condition are also possible, in which the gum tissue literally dies, causing severe health risks. Treatment may require surgery.

We are cosmetic, children’s, and general dentistry service providers in Vancouver, and we are ready to serve all of your dental needs.
